Natural areas: rules for dogs

Always on a lead

Parque Nacional de los Picos de Europa

Asturias, Cantabria, León · National park

Dogs off the lead are prohibited throughout the park. On the Ruta del Cares, retractable leads are also prohibited; fixed lead of 1.20 m maximum. Contradiction: Turismo Asturias states 1.5 m; the figure from the park's managing Consortium is used.

Always on a lead

Parque Natural de Somiedo

Asturias · Natural park

Turismo Asturias states that in national and natural parks dogs must always be on a lead, and marks the Somiedo Lakes (Conjunto Lacustre de Somiedo) as 'Perros con correa' (translation: Dogs on a lead). It is an official tourism website, not the park's regulations.
