Dogs may only bathe in the signposted lava pools (with steps); the rest of the beach is not suitable for dogs. There is a news item on the El Pinar Town Council website («El Pinar permite el baño con mascotas en la zona de la Laja Los Cabritos, en Tacorón» (translation: El Pinar allows bathing with pets in the Laja Los Cabritos area, in Tacorón), aytoelpinar.org, news item 96) but the site blocks automated access and could not be opened.
